Be aware that your charger may the issue. If the Surveyor 2 will not run even with the charger plugged in then your charger is BAD.
If that does not resolve the issue then check your firmware and O/S update here:

Scroll down and look for the Allegro 2 (which is the Surveyor2).
BE AWARE; if you need to make any updates of Firmware or the O/S you MUST MAKE A COPY OF YOUR CARLSON SURVCE REGISTRATION so you can re-install it and register it after the update.
I recommend taking a picture of the screen(s) that show the:
a) registered modules (TS / GPS / ROB etc..)
b) registration serial number: xxxxxxxx-CAA30-xxxxx-xxxxx
c) Change key number
If you do not record that information you may have a difficult time trying to re-register the software.
